Beach has always been a magnet for spring break getaways, but with an ever-growing list of kid-friendly activities and budget-friendly deals, this famous beach town is attracting more families than ever. The prospect of spring break in Daytona Beach is especially sweet for Floridians, who can just pack up the car and go.

Conveniently located on our Central East coast – and less than an hour from Orlando – Daytona Beach offers a perfect combination of sun, fun, arts, entertainment, sports, culture and history. So couples, grandparents traveling with the grandkids, and families big and small have much to choose from when plotting their ideal spring getaway. Join them in rediscovering Daytona Beach, and create your own spring break tradition along the way.

Spring Family Beach Break

Family fun and big savings are sure signs that Spring Family Beach Break season has sprung in Daytona Beach. Now in its fourth year, Spring Family Beach Break offers special packages, discounts and deals at dozens of participating area hotels, attractions, restaurants and shops. This year, the season runs March 10 through May 22.

You'll find accommodations to fit a variety of styles and budgets, with everything from tropical oceanfront resorts and convenient chain hotels to cozy cottage rentals for two and mom-and-pop beach motels with original signage. During Spring Family Beach Break, you can find hotel rates for as low as $35 per night. Free wireless Internet, cable TV with HBO, outdoor grills and laundry facilities are among the standard amenities offered throughout the area.

Daytona for families of all kinds

For single parents or any parents on a budget, there's no better way to reward a great report card or a job well done than a spring break trip. At Studio 1 Motel on Daytona Beach, $169 buys you three nights of recently renovated, roomy accommodations just steps from what has been dubbed "the world's most famous beach." (Rates based on double occupancy.) Kids can spend hours frolicking in the sand and playing in the ocean – activities that cost nothing but yield a full day of fun.
