Starting in the north, here is a guide to the towns in Palm Beach County.

Jupiter

Originally a fishing village, Jupiter is a popular vacation spot, drawing celebrities like Tiger Woods.

At Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa, relax under a cabana on a secluded beach, float in the heated pool or indulge with a Swedish massage.

Baseball enthusiasts can catch Florida Marlins spring training games at Roger Dean Stadium, which also hosts the St. Louis Cardinals.

Check out the Food Shack, an island-style restaurant that epitomizes this laidback town. The sweet potato-crusted fish is a local favorite.

Palm Beach Gardens/Singer Island

On Singer Island, across the bridge from Palm Beach Gardens, natural beauty is ubiquitous.

At nearby John D. MacArthur State Park, hike nature trails, snorkel along the beach or explore mangrove forests.

West Palm Beach

A bustling city with a jam-packed social calendar, West Palm Beach is an entertainment hotspot.

In downtown’s city square, live bands get people dancing at festivals and concerts. Every May, hundreds of thousands of people attend SunFest, Florida’s largest waterfront music and art festival. Headliners have included Bob Dylan and No Doubt.

Cultural buffs can watch musicals at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts or view exhibits at Norton Museum of Art.

Discover chic eateries, shops and nightclubs at Clematis Street or CityPlace. Stay at hotels such as the Hyatt Place West Palm Beach/Downtown.

Palm Beach/Manalapan

Regarded as a playground for the wealthy, Palm Beach is unquestionably glamorous.

Shop at boutiques on Worth Avenue, known as the “Rodeo Drive of the East Coast.” Linger over lunch at trendy restaurants.

Palm Beach offers a wealth of accommodations. Founded by Henry Morrison Flagler, The Breakers boasts nine restaurants and five pools. The oceanfront Four Seasons Resort features an 11,000-square-foot spa and salon, while The Omphoy Ocean Resort is Palm Beach’s only beachfront boutique hotel.

Over the years, the village has also seen its share of famous faces – including Madonna.

Design buffs will fall for Boca Raton, where renowned architect Addison Mizner left his mark. Mizner’s signature blend of Mediterranean, Moorish and Spanish-influenced designs appears throughout the city, including at Boca Raton Resort & Club. The resort, which joined the Waldorf-Astoria Collection, added a sushi bar by Masaharu Morimoto of “Iron Chef.”
